Greetings from the Stone Harbor Museum!

I hope this letter finds you and your family well.  Here at the Stone Harbor Museum, we are wrapping up a busy year that started with a complete renovation, followed by numerous projects including interesting exhibits, informative Speaker Talks and engaging Children’s Story Hours.  On Facebook and our website, we displayed some of Stone Harbor’s Vintage Houses as well as Postcards from Harlan Radford.  The annual Risley Gala in August was a wonderful evening spent mingling with friends and supporters of the Museum.

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, the Museum was open six days a week, and it was a busy season showcasing the unique heritage of Stone Harbor!  We had a record number of over 1,400 visitors, with more to come as we will continue to stay open on Saturdays from 10-1.

Each year we have two giving campaigns.  The first is the Membership Campaign in March where donations are used to support the Museum activities, exhibits, displays and day-to-day upkeep of the Museum.  The second is the Capital Campaign in November where we ask your help to pay down the mortgage and make improvements to the Museum.   Last year your generous donations to the Capital Campaign helped us pay for the renovation to the Museum.  This year we are continuing with our original goal of designating Capital Campaign donations solely to reducing our mortgage debt.

Please consider contributing to this year’s Stone Harbor Museum Capital Campaign by using the links below.

Your generous donations have allowed us to grow into a museum where residents and vacationers alike can visit for free and enjoy reliving the history of Stone Harbor.  Whether you have been here for many years or only a few, you are a part of Stone Harbor history.  We need your support to continue to preserve and share the story of Stone Harbor.

Your generosity has a significant impact on the success of the Museum.

Best Wishes for a wonderful Holiday season,

Mike Turner
