“A COUPLE POSES FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHER AT STONE HARBOR IN 1917” – Show here are two images of Elsie and Joseph Emberger taken at the Stonemen’s Bungalow Colony in the year 1917. While we are not sure on which court these photos were “snapped”, the image on the left shows the Emberger couple acting somewhat silly as they appear dressed in their “trendy” beach attire and ready for an ocean swim. Classic swimwear for that time period. The image shown on the right depicts the Emberger’s in common everyday attire. It would seem the Stonemen’s Bungalow Colony has just recently opened judging from the traditional striped awnings uniformly adorning the front porches of all the cottages.
