Picture of the Day No. 69 – 1914 Postcard of “Ross’ Double Front Bungalow”

No. 69

Here is a 1914 vintage post card depicting “Ross’ Double Front Bungalow” in Stone Harbor, N. J.

Mr. Ernest N. Ross’ cozy little Bungalow built in 1909 was located on the State Inland Waterway, facing Sunset Drive near 89th Street between the South Basin and Snug Harbor.  Three men and a couple of children, dressed in their overcoats, hats and winter clothing, are visible seated and standing in front of this large bungalow.  This 2-story structure with a screened-in front porch has the typical wooden shingles on the exterior.
